Top of the Mountain

Designers dream, this was a unique project. The owners came to me with an existing foundation at 2400’ in the green mountains with incredible views in most all directions. The foundation had been built by previous owners several years prior to the current ownership.

The owners wanted a unique home were they could entertain their family and friends. I designed the home to have public spaces for adults, a space for the younger folks and a separate wing for the owners.

Through out the home there are whimsical features, such as peeled maple logs in the master bathroom, a powder room with the sink supported by a yellow Birch stump and stone slab. Maple saplings were used to delineate spaces, yet maintain transparency.

Very large bunk room with a pair of queen sized bunks is a favorite sleeping choice for most guest. Living space is about 6,000 sq ft.
